Definition of Comp vs. Seeded Entry:
Comp Entry: A 10K registration that
has no fees attached and
will allow the elite runner to start in the front corral based
on the bib number assigned.
Seeded Entry: A 10K registration that
must include current registration fee and
will allow the elite runner to start in the front corral based
on the bib number assigned. Seeded entries will be given out
based on the runner’s qualifications.
Athletes that are sent a comp entry per Get in Gear
standards:
All age group winners and overall
winners of the previous year will receive a comp entry by
mail before the end of February.
Athletes that are sent a seeded entry
per Get in Gear standards:
Elite athletes that have ranked high in the
past year’s Get in Gear but did not meet the Get in Gear comp
entry standard.
Athletes that have a record of performance in the past
year showing potential Get in Gear course record breaking may
also qualify for a comp entry after processing the following
information:
Send by e-mail (Get
In Gear) or fax (612-722-5414) the following
information:
-Entry
form with completed information plus USATF Number and Social
Security Number. Entry form must be postmarked no later than
April 1, 2010.
Entry form must have:
- Your signature
- Resume of past performances from the previous year
Once we receive this information, we will contact you (with
the contact information you've provided) to confirm your status.
Elite Athlete Packet Pick-up: You may pick up your
packet either Friday, April 23, from Noon-8:00p.m. at the
Minnehaha Park Pavilion and look for the signage for Elite
Athlete Pick-Up OR Saturday, April 24, before 8:00a.m. at
the T-Shirt Tent located near the pavilion. Note: Get in
Gear will absorb the cost of parking in the park on Friday,
April 23, for people picking up their packets.
